SERVICING & COMMISSIONING
The checks carried out by our own highly trained, DBS checked test engineers during our service visit ensure that each fume cupboard, fume extract system and fan is completely fit for purpose and complies with BS EN 14175 and CLEAPSS G9 as appropriate.
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations require that all measures provided for the control of exposure to substances hazardous to health are maintained in an efficient state, in an efficient working order and in good repair. The regulations require the thorough examination and testing of local exhaust systems at least every 14 months.
Replacement filters and basic spares are carried in our service vehicles and the repair of minor faults and any adjustments required can be undertaken on the spot. Clean Air services all makes and models of fume cupboard, not only those we manufacture.

Our fume cupboard designs have been type-tested in-house to ensure compliance with BS EN 14175, and we typically include face velocity testing on site for every Clean Air fume cupboard we install. We also recommend the more advanced inner-plane containment testing, and with our in-house expertise we can offer this added assurance at a very competitive price.
For fume cupboards and/or extract systems with energy efficient technology specified, we ensure the system is fully calibrated on installation.
If your fume cupboard or extract system isn’t operating correctly, Clean Air offers a quick, responsive repair service throughout the UK. We hold optimal levels of spares in stock, and our highly trained team of engineers is experienced with most makes and models of fume cupboard and extract system.
