Premium Fume Cupboard

The APEX range has been developed in collaboration with universities to meet the real-world needs of fume cupboard operators. From enhanced usability to tested performance and energy efficiency, every feature has been carefully engineered to support safe, efficient lab work in demanding environments.

Bright, Spacious, and Easy to Work With

Toughened glass sides and a slim profile provide more internal space, while high-level glazing ensures clear visibility and smooth access to the chamber.

Tested for Safety, Proven in Performance

Independently certified to BS EN 14175, APEX delivers a Protection Factor Rating of 1,500,000 at just 0.3m/s – setting a new standard for low-energy containment.

Flexible Airflow, Smarter Energy Use

Available in VAV, CAV and Low Flow models, APEX gives you control over airflow and energy use without compromising containment.

Choosing the right fume cupboard for your lab is important. Our APEX range offers four premium models, each designed to suit different needs. Compare key features across the APEX-2, 3, 4 and 5 models and find the best fit for your space.

APEX-2

The APEX-2 features a single-skin design for a wider workspace and lighter feel, with glass sides and full-height viewing. It’s easy to install or relocate, arriving in two parts, ideal for flexible, future-proof lab setups.

APEX-3

With twin-skin sidewalls for side-mounted services, the APEX-3 balances internal space with practical utility. It offers excellent containment at low flow rates, is tested to BS EN 14175, and is easily relocatable for lab adaptability.

APEX-4

The APEX-4 combines a spacious single-skin chamber with glass sides and high containment performance. It’s energy-efficient, tested to BS EN 14175, and ideal for labs needing wide internal access and bright, open workspaces.

APEX-5

The top-tier APEX-5 includes twin-skin walls for service access, integrated fire-rated and ventilated storage, and compatibility with Vacuubrand systems. It offers top containment performance and flexibility for advanced lab needs.

Every lab has its own workflow and safety requirements. That’s why the APEX range offers a wide selection of customisation options, giving you the flexibility to build a fume cupboard that fits seamlessly into your space and processes.

Airflow Control Options

Choose from Variable Air Volume (VAV), Constant Air Volume (CAV), or Low Flow systems to suit your ventilation strategy.

Integrated Sink Units

A range of sink sizes and materials available, with plumbing options tailored to your lab’s drainage system.

Worktop Materials

Select from Trespa, stainless steel, or epoxy resin, all durable and chemically resistant for long-term use.

Pre-Plumbed Services

Gas, vacuum, and water outlets installed to spec, saving time during setup and commissioning.

Filtration & Ducting Options

Configure for ducted extraction or choose recirculating filters where external ductwork isn’t possible.

Lighting & Control Panels

Upgrade to high-efficiency LED lighting, intuitive control panels, or full BMS integration for smarter monitoring.

Underbench Storage Solutions

Add fixed or mobile underbench cabinets, ventilated or standard, for safe, convenient storage.

Choice of Cupboard Widths

All models are available in multiple widths, from compact units to extra-wide setups for equipment-heavy tasks.

This premium, advanced technology range has been developed in collaboration with university users to meet operators’ needs. With toughened glass sides in addition to the glass sash, it provides a light and airy working space. And because the glass is thinner than the traditional twin skin of a fume cupboard, you gain extra space too.

The APEX fume cupboard range has been tested to meet BS EN 14175. The key Robustness of Containment Protection Factor (PFR) reading is 1,500,000 for an 1800mm wide version at 0.3m/s face velocity
