With a unique, cutting-edge in-house testing rig, Clean Air’s fume cupboard type-testing is designed to meet the criteria specified in BS EN 14175 to offer added assurance that our fume cupboards perform to the recommended standard.
Our infrared spectrophotometer gas analyser measures any escape of tracer gas at parts per billion levels, and our fully automated Robustness of Containment test apparatus accurately performs the required tests.
Our facility is equipped with a full extract and replacement air system and the latest control and monitoring technology and can accommodate multi-fume cupboard installations and lab furniture to replicate real-life laboratory conditions.
We can test any make and model of fume cupboard to BS EN 14175 in our facility in Greater Manchester, or on-site anywhere in the UK. Our experience and integrity ensure you can rely on the validity of our results.
Clients are welcome to visit to observe their units undergoing the testing programme as part of a factory tour.
Here at Clean Air, we pride ourselves on health, safety and energy efficiency. We are firmly committed to these principles.
Safety is our business, and we take the health & safety of our staff, our clients and our communities seriously. Every one of our fume cupboards is designed to comply with BS EN 14175. We operate to rigorous H&S protocols and take a zero tolerance approach to breaches. We are BS ISO 45001:2018 certified.
We are committed to improving energy efficiency whilst maintaining excellent levels of containment. We can reduce the amount of heated and conditioned air extracted through our fume cupboards by up to 75% through innovative low volume designs, Variable Air Volume (VAV) controls and autosash closure systems.
We set ourselves a challenging ‘zero to landfill’ target which we have achieved every month since April 2017. We are proud of our record – 100% of our waste is recycled, confirmed by our ISO 14001 certification.
We have reduced our Scope 1 & 2 carbon footprint by 43% over the last 4 years, even though turnover has increased by 50% during the same period. Among our initiatives, we’ve installed solar panels on our factory roof and we’re transitioning our modern fleet of vehicles to mild-hybrid and electric models.
