Inverter Controls

Inverter Controls Now Standard on Education Units

Clean Air has recently announced an exciting update to its product line: all fixed ducted school cupboards will now come standard with an integrated inverter, marking a significant advancement in the control of educational units.
This new feature is set to revolutionise how educational institutions manage their energy consumption and noise levels. Including an inverter addresses two critical concerns in educational environments: energy efficiency and noise reduction.
By controlling the fan speed, the inverter ensures that the fan operates only at the necessary speed, eliminating the need for a damper within the extract system. This reduces energy use and minimises the noise the extract duct produces, contributing to a more conducive learning atmosphere.

User Friendly Design

The inverter’s design is particularly user-friendly. It is conveniently located at the top of the fume cupboard, allowing straightforward access when adjustments are required during the commissioning phase. This ease of access is a thoughtful design choice that simplifies maintenance and ensures that the units can be easily adapted to the specific needs of any educational facility.
The technical benefits of the inverter are also noteworthy. It converts the standard 240V single-phase power supply into a 3-phase output, which enables the use of a fan with a 3-phase motor. Fans with 3-phase motors are generally more reliable and produce less noise than their single-phase counterparts, further enhancing the performance of the fume cupboards.

Our Commitment

Clean Air’s commitment to flexibility is evident in its manufacturing process. All fume cupboards are produced in their Bolton, Greater Manchester factory, so customisation requests, such as units without the inverter, can be easily accommodated.
This flexibility ensures schools can choose the configuration that best meets their needs and preferences.
Clean Air encourages potential customers to contact their friendly team to learn more about these innovative fume cupboards or discuss their specific requirements.
This invitation underscores the company’s dedication to customer service and willingness to provide tailored solutions that align with the unique demands of educational institutions.
