As Clean Air celebrates 25 successful years as a leading UK designer and manufacturer of fume cupboards and ductwork it’s looking to the future. To meet growing demand it’s expanding its workforce, with two new members already recruited and two more to follow.
‘Our 25th anniversary comes in a year that has seen rising demand for our products’ says Will Perrott, Clean Air’s Managing Director. ‘It’s not only the excellent containment and compliance our fume cupboards offer, it’s also our industry experience, design expertise and innovation that adds value for our clients.’
Clean Air’s reputation for its ability to provide fume extract systems for complex applications has enabled it to build a strong client base and it is focused on a strategic forward plan.
‘Our fume cupboards have been installed in universities, schools, science parks and commercial laboratories across the UK and Europe,’ says Will. ‘You’ll find them in some of the most prestigious projects in the country. We’ve supplied the National Graphene Institute, the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre and the Henry Royce Institute to name a few. They’re even in top-secret projects I can’t tell you about.
‘We intend to capitalise on this with several new initiatives that will keep us at the cutting edge of our sector.’
Clean Air was founded in Bolton in 1994. In 2014 it bought its own premises, making its home in Farnworth. Today the company’s order book is bulging and the team is expanding to keep pace with demand.
‘To mark our quarter century with such a positive outlook is truly rewarding,’ continues Will. ‘As Clean Air celebrates 25 years what better way to look to the next 25 than creating jobs and continuing to advance the design and technology of our products, providing safety and protection for lab personnel, students and teachers.’
