Clean Air Fume Cupboards at Imperial College London

By Ian Heatherington

New Installs at Imperial College London

Clean Air’s latest order for Imperial College London brings the total number of Clean Air units at the prestigious Russell Group university to 75.

The most recent consignment of 12 High-Performance Radius Profile fume cupboards has been installed in the new £40m Michael Uren Building on the White City campus.

High-Performing Fume Extraction

The High-Performance Radius Profile is Imperial College’s Clean Air fume cupboard model of choice. This tough, reliable unit is keeping staff and students safe and protected across several of the university’s campuses.

Its smooth, curved inlet delivers ultra-containment, eliminating air eddies in the internal chamber. Independent testing has confirmed the highest level of containment currently claimed by any fume cupboard manufacturer*.

Imperial College London’s New Facility

The 13-storey Michael Uren Building comprises state-of-the-art laboratory and office facilities for the next generation of biomedical engineering research.

In addition, it houses the Royce@Imperial research laboratories. High-Performance Radius Profile fume cupboards have proven a favourite of the Henry Royce Institute facilities across the UK. Almost 200 Clean Air units are now working hard across the Royce network.
